DCIM Software Pricing in 2026: Published Prices and What 10, 50 and 200 Racks Cost

Every DCIM price we could find published, read on 20 October 2026, the six ways vendors meter it, and what a 10, 50 and 200-rack estate pays a year under each, including where our own product gets expensive.

Published DCIM software prices on 20 October 2026 ranged from free (NetBox, openDCIM and other open source tools) to $3 per asset per year (Hyperview), $19.50 per cabinet per month (Sunbird dcTrack, US only) and $69 to $799 a month by device count (EasyDCIM). Device42, Nlyte and NetBox Cloud’s paid plans publish no price. For a 50-rack estate with 1,000 devices, the paid products with a published price cost between about $3,150 and $16,650 a year, before services, hosting and integration.

How this was sourced. FluxBilling publishes this page and sells billing software for hosting providers with DCIM included, so it competes with some of the products below, and its own price is in the tables. Every price was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 20 October 2026, in the currency it publishes; no exchange rate is applied. The worked examples use our assumptions, stated next to them. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so rather than estimate one.

How is DCIM software priced?

Vendors meter different things, which is why list prices are hard to compare. There are six models in use:

  • Per cabinet. Sunbird dcTrack charges per rack, with unlimited users, sites and assets. Dense racks are cheap; half-empty ones are not.
  • Per monitored node. Sunbird Power IQ charges per networked device it polls, such as a rack PDU or UPS.
  • Per asset. Hyperview charges per asset per year, and racks, PDUs and sensors count as assets alongside servers.
  • Device bands. EasyDCIM sells plans for up to 50, 100, 300 and 1,000 devices, where servers, switches, routers, PDUs and blades all count. Crossing a band edge raises the bill in one step.
  • Platform tier plus a per-server meter. FluxBilling sells billing tiers with DCIM included and counts bare-metal servers (standalone servers and blades); switches, PDUs and patch panels are not metered.
  • Free licence. NetBox, Nautobot, Ralph, openDCIM and RackTables cost nothing to license. You pay in hosting and staff time.

A seventh, quote-only, covers Device42 (an annual subscription by device count), Nlyte and NetBox Cloud’s paid Starter, Professional and Premium plans.

What does DCIM cost at 10, 50 and 200 racks?

Our assumptions, so you can redo the sums with your own numbers:

  • Small: 10 racks, 200 devices, of which 150 servers.
  • Medium: 50 racks, 1,000 devices, of which 800 servers.
  • Large: 200 racks, 4,000 devices, of which 3,200 servers.

Hyperview assets are counted as devices plus racks. Annual figures use each vendor’s yearly price where one is published, otherwise twelve months. No services, add-ons, taxes or discounts.

ProductSmall (10 racks)Medium (50 racks)Large (200 racks)
Sunbird dcTrack$2,340$11,700$46,800
Sunbird DCIM Suite$3,330$16,650$66,600
Hyperview$1,500 (minimum applies)$3,150$12,600
EasyDCIM, dedicated, yearly$2,999 (300-device plan)$7,999 (1,000-device plan)Quote
NetBox Community$0 + hosting$0 + hosting$0 + hosting
FluxBilling, Business tier€750 ($879)€4,650 ($5,481)€19,050 ($22,473)

Three things the table hides. Hyperview’s base price does not include structured cabling, which is a $2 per asset per year add-on, so cabling would lift the medium figure to about $5,250. EasyDCIM and NetBox do not bill your customers, so a hosting provider adds a billing system’s licence on top. And FluxBilling’s figure includes billing, IPAM and provisioning, but for a large fleet that only needs DCIM its per-server meter makes it dearer than Hyperview: $22,473 against $12,600 a year at 3,200 servers, comparing its US price.

What else does DCIM cost besides the licence?

  • Annual commitment. Sunbird’s subscription requires a year up front; perpetual licences with annual maintenance are quoted separately.
  • Implementation. Sunbird offers a 4-day Quick Start for installation, configuration and training, priced on request, and EasyDCIM offers a custom installation service on request. Whichever you pick, the first data import is the real work.
  • Add-ons. Hyperview lists accelerated polling, reports, control (rack doors, outlets, firmware) and ServiceNow sync at $1 per asset per year each, full-resolution data retention at $0.50 and connectivity at $2.
  • Hosting for self-hosted tools. Sunbird’s on-premises install runs as two virtual servers on VMware vSphere, each with at least 8 GB RAM, 160 GB disk and 4 CPU cores. NetBox needs PostgreSQL 15 or later and Redis. Backups, upgrades and security are yours.
  • Staff time for free software. NetBox costs nothing to license, but every upgrade needs someone to read the release notes, check plugin compatibility and apply it.
  • Integration with billing. If one product tracks racks and another invoices customers, the scripts between them are software you maintain.

Which DCIM pricing model fits which estate?

  • Few racks, many devices in each: per-cabinet pricing stays flat as racks fill up.
  • Many lightly loaded racks: per-asset or per-device pricing tracks what you actually have.
  • A small estate under 500 assets: Hyperview’s minimum means you pay for 500 regardless; NetBox Cloud Free covers up to 100 devices at no cost.
  • Growing fast: watch band edges. EasyDCIM’s step from 300 to 1,000 devices is $299 to $799 a month.
  • Selling the capacity you track: the licence matters less than the cost of keeping a DCIM and a billing system in agreement, so compare against a combined product as well.

Our rack management software guide compares the same tools on features rather than price, and open source DCIM software in 2026 covers the free options in depth.

How FluxBilling prices DCIM

FluxBilling is billing software for hosting providers and colocation operators. DCIM, IPAM and the client portal are included on every plan; the meter is clients and bare-metal servers, not racks, sites, users, switches or PDUs.

PlanPer month (EUR / USD)ClientsBare-metal servers included
Lite€4.95 / $5.95105
Starter€9.99 / $11.9915025
Professional€14.99 / $17.9925050
Business€25 / $29Unlimited75

Each extra server is €0.50 a month ($0.59 for US accounts). Self-hosting is available on Business for a one-time €50 ($59). See pricing for the current figures.

What you get for that: a rack editor with per-rack power budgets, inventory with hardware specs read over Redfish and SNMP, IPAM, colocation services linked to rack space, and dedicated-server orders that allocate and provision hardware, all in the same database as the invoices. What you do not get: power monitoring per outlet, power alerts, cooling models, network discovery scans or a change history for device moves, which Sunbird, Hyperview and Device42 cover in depth. It is pre-1.0. If you do not bill anyone for the racks you track, a DCIM-only product at a per-asset price is likely the better buy.

Plans include a 14-day refund on subscriptions, and the live demo shows the DCIM screens on sample data.

Frequently asked questions

How much does DCIM software cost?

From nothing for open source tools such as NetBox to tens of thousands of dollars a year for a large estate on commercial software. On published prices read on 20 October 2026, a 50-rack, 1,000-device estate pays about $3,150 a year on Hyperview, $7,999 on EasyDCIM’s yearly plan, $11,700 on Sunbird dcTrack and $16,650 on the Sunbird suite, before services and add-ons.

Is DCIM software priced per rack or per device?

Both, depending on the vendor. Sunbird dcTrack prices per cabinet, Hyperview per asset, EasyDCIM in device bands, and Sunbird Power IQ per monitored node. Check what counts: Hyperview counts racks and PDUs as assets, and EasyDCIM counts PDUs and switches as devices.

Does DCIM cost more for multiple locations?

Not with the published models above. Sunbird includes unlimited sites, and none of the other published prices has a per-site charge. What grows with more sites is the number of racks, assets or devices, and the work of keeping naming consistent.

Is there free DCIM software?

Yes. NetBox, Nautobot and Ralph are actively maintained and free under Apache-2.0; openDCIM and RackTables are free but have not released since 2023 and 2022. NetBox Labs also offers a hosted free plan for up to 100 devices and 500 IP addresses.

Why do Device42 and Nlyte not publish prices?

Both sell on quotes; Device42 describes an annual subscription based on device count. Ask for a three-year price at the fleet size you expect, not today’s.
