SolusVM 2 billing and VPS automation

Connect SolusVM 2 with an API token and sell its plans as FluxBilling products. A paid order creates the customer’s SolusVM account and the server in the location and operating system they chose; the client area carries power controls, a VNC console, reinstall and root password reset. Unpaid invoices suspend the server and termination deletes it.

What it costs

The plugin is free. SolusVM licensing is unchanged.

The SolusVM 2 plugin is listed at no charge on the FluxBilling marketplace and installs on every tier. FluxBilling plans are priced by the clients you bill, not by the servers SolusVM runs.

Your SolusVM 2 installation stays as it is. The plugin only needs a personal access token from the SolusVM admin panel.

From a paid invoice to a SolusVM 2 server

  1. 01OrderThe customer picks a location and an operating system from the ones you allowed, a hostname, and a root password — or receives a generated one.
  2. 02Find or create the SolusVM userThe customer’s SolusVM account is looked up by email and created if it does not exist.
  3. 03Create the serverThe server is created on the product’s SolusVM plan, in the chosen location, with the chosen image.
  4. 04Hand overAddresses, operating system, location and usage appear on the service page, with the customer’s controls.

Connect SolusVM 2 in four steps

Limits

What it does not do

  • SolusVM 2 only. The plugin uses the SolusVM 2 API and does not connect to SolusVM 1 panels.
  • No in-place resize: plan changes on a running server are made in SolusVM.
  • Backups and snapshots are not offered through the plugin.
  • Addresses come from SolusVM’s own IP pools, not from FluxBilling’s IPAM.

VPS Panel Migration takes over hypervisors run by SolusVM 2. Started from the SolusVM 2 management node, it reads the panel’s database over SSH — read-only — and brings across the hypervisors it manages, its plans, IP pools and the owner of every server. Guests keep running throughout; nothing is stopped, restarted or rebuilt, and SolusVM stays installed until you decide to remove it.

The VPS module is priced per node rather than free. If you are happy with SolusVM 2, the plugin is the smaller change.

What is a good SolusVM alternative?
It depends on what you want to replace. To keep SolusVM 2 and change the billing around it, this plugin connects it to FluxBilling. To stop running a separate VPS panel, FluxBilling’s VPS module manages KVM hypervisors directly and can adopt the servers already running under SolusVM 2 without downtime.
Does the plugin work with SolusVM 1?
No. It is written for the SolusVM 2 API, and SolusVM 1 panels are not supported. VPS Panel Migration documents Virtualizor, SolusVM 2 and Proxmox VE as its source panels.
What does the SolusVM 2 plugin cost?
Nothing. It is free on the FluxBilling marketplace. Your FluxBilling plan is priced by the clients you bill, not by servers.
Do customers get a console?
Yes. The client area starts a VNC session through the SolusVM panel, alongside power controls, reinstall and root password reset.
Can I upgrade a customer to a bigger plan?
Not in place through this plugin version; change the plan in SolusVM. Billing-side upgrades and proration still run in FluxBilling.
What happens when a customer does not pay?
The server is suspended in SolusVM once the invoice passes your grace period, unsuspended when it is paid, and deleted when the service is terminated.
