Founder & CEO, FluxBilling

Mario Marin is the founder of FluxBilling, an integrated billing, DCIM, and provisioning platform for hosting providers. He designed and built the platform solo — the billing engine, the data center management layer, the provisioning pipeline, and the admin and client panels — and he operates hosting infrastructure first-hand, which keeps the product accountable to the same problems it claims to solve. Posts published under his name are written from operating the systems they describe, not from a content calendar.

FluxBilling exists because the established hosting stack treats billing, data center infrastructure, and server provisioning as three separate products held together by sync jobs. Invoices live in one tool, racks and IP space in another, provisioning scripts in a third — and the operator is left reconciling the gaps when the invoice does not match the rack. Mario built FluxBilling to collapse that split into one product: invoices, racks, IPAM, and provisioning in a single schema, with a visual plugin builder for integrations and tenant isolation at the Kubernetes layer.

His working domains are the ones listed below — hosting platform architecture, data center infrastructure management, billing automation, server provisioning, and SaaS product development. The writing on this blog reflects that range: migration field notes, billing edge cases such as proration, dunning, and multi-currency invoicing, DCIM modeling decisions, and the operational details that decide whether a hosting business runs quietly or pages someone at 3 a.m.

He is deliberate about where the product stands. FluxBilling is pre-1.0, and the company says so on its own about page: the public roadmap lists what was deferred as well as what is shipping, the changelog includes the rollbacks alongside the releases, and the comparison pages document where established alternatives still win. The same standard applies here — when a post touches a limitation or an unfinished area of the platform, it is stated plainly rather than written around. Mario is based in Spain.
