FluxBilling has moved out of open beta. As of today the platform is generally available for production use by web hosting companies, VPS and game server providers, and data centre operators. Billing, DCIM, IP address management and server provisioning ship together in one system, and the release includes Pterodactyl Panel 2.0 and Proxmox VE 9 support.
From open beta to general availability
Public sign-up opened on 4 August 2026. Since then, FluxBilling has run live billing and provisioning for hosting providers, including X-ZoneServers, the hosting company run by FluxBilling’s founder. Most of what ships in this release came from that period: the WHMCS importer, the reseller portal, the native VPS and game server modules, and the provider plugins all changed based on how beta customers used them.
General availability means we now consider the platform stable for hosting providers to run their business on. Nothing changes for existing accounts. Their data, plans and plugins carry over as they are.
“During the beta, FluxBilling was already running live billing and provisioning for hosting providers, including our own hosting company. Moving to general availability means we consider the platform stable for providers of any size to run their business on. The beta feedback shaped most of what ships today, especially around migrations and provisioning integrations.”
— Mario Marin, founder of FluxBilling
What is included at general availability
- Billing: recurring and proforma invoicing, proration, dunning, account credit, multi-currency, and EU VAT handling including reverse charge and OSS.
- DCIM and IPAM: rack and U-position management, IPMI and Redfish power control, SNMP polling, and IPv4 and IPv6 address management with automatic assignment when a service is provisioned.
- Provisioning: built-in modules for bare metal servers, KVM virtual servers and game servers, plus free plugins for Proxmox VE, VirtFusion, Virtualizor, SolusVM 2, Pterodactyl and cPanel/WHM.
- Integrations: payment gateways and other integrations are built as plugins in the visual Plugin Builder, with no PHP modules to write, and a REST API is available.
- Resellers: a reseller portal with wholesale price lists.
- Migration: a read-only importer for clients, services and invoices from WHMCS.
Each customer runs in an isolated environment with its own PostgreSQL database, not a shared schema. Business plan customers can also self-host the platform on their own servers.
Pterodactyl Panel 2.0 support
Pterodactyl Panel 2.0 replaces nests with tags for organising eggs. The Pterodactyl plugin 1.4 works with both Panel 1.x and Panel 2.0 (tested against 2.0.0-beta.2). On Panel 2.0 it lists and filters eggs by tag. On 1.x it still uses nests.
Resource limits behave differently in this release. A limit of 0 on a plan stays unlimited, and purchased add-ons such as extra memory or disk are added on top of the plan’s base limits when a service is upgraded or resized. A FluxBilling client is now matched to a panel user by exact email address.
Pelican Panel is not supported.
Proxmox VE 9 support
The Proxmox VE plugin 1.5 supports Proxmox VE 7, 8 and 9. It handles API behaviour that changed in recent Proxmox releases:
- tasks that finish with warnings are treated as completed, not failed
- disk resize operations are tracked until the Proxmox task completes
- virtual machines are fully stopped before they are deleted or reinstalled
- clone tasks are tracked on the node the product is assigned to, not only the default node
- memory usage readings are capped at the VM’s allocated memory
The Proxmox VE 9 integration was tested against pve-manager 9.2.21. Customers with either plugin installed can update it from the plugin marketplace in the admin panel.
What is not there yet
General availability does not mean every integration is done. Plesk and OpenStack integrations are planned but not shipped, and Pelican Panel is not supported. The public roadmap lists what is planned and what we have decided not to build.
Getting started
Plans start at €4.95 per month, and DCIM is included in every plan. See pricing for the full list. Both the admin and client panels are open as a live demo with sample data, with no sign-up needed.
