License
Activate your FluxBilling install and check its license status, plan tier, client and server usage, last-validated time, and refresh on demand.
What the License page is for
The License page is where you activate your FluxBilling installation and check its current licence state at a glance — whether it is active, which plan you are on, how many clients and servers you are using, and when it was last validated. If your installation has not been activated yet, this is also where you enter your licence key.
How to reach it
Open Settings from the sidebar, then in the settings menu look under the System group and click License (alongside Security and IP Ban). The page shows one of two views depending on whether your installation is already activated.
The two views
- Activation view — shown when the installation has not been activated yet, or its licence is not valid. It contains the activation form.
- Active licence view — shown once a valid licence is in place. It displays status, plan, usage figures and a Refresh button.
Activating your licence
The activation view shows a panel headed Activate Your License with a short form.
- In the License Key field, type the key from your purchase. The field forces upper case and inserts the dashes for you as you type, producing
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. You do not need to type them yourself. - Leave the optional address field below it blank. It exists for unusual setups only — empty means the default licence server, which is correct for almost everyone. Fill it in only if you were specifically told to.
- Click Activate License. The button shows an Activating… spinner while it works, and stays disabled until a full-length key has been entered.
On success a green confirmation appears and the page switches to the active licence view. If activation fails, a red message explains why — for example an invalid or already-used key.
Note: until a valid licence is in place, an amber License Required panel warns that some features may be limited. Operations that need a valid licence are refused with a “License required” message until one is in place.

License Status
The top card shows the headline state of your licence, with a Refresh button in its corner and four figures side by side.

Under the figures, a Last validated line with a clock icon shows when your licence was last checked. If the licence is in the grace period, an amber Operating in Grace Period warning appears here with the number of hours remaining before restrictions apply.
Usage Statistics

Platform Version
At the bottom, a small card shows your current Platform Version. When a newer version is available, an Update Available note appears beside it.
Refreshing your licence
Your licence checks in automatically on a regular cycle, so you rarely need to do anything. When you do want an immediate re-check — right after changing your plan, or after clearing up a billing issue — click Refresh in the License Status card. The icon spins while it runs and a message reports the result, then the status, plan and usage figures reload.
About the Grace Period: a Grace Period status means a recent validation check did not succeed and the platform is still running on borrowed time. It is usually a temporary connectivity problem or a lapsed payment. Resolve the underlying cause and click Refresh before the countdown ends — otherwise the licence can move to Suspended, and operations that require a valid licence stop working until it is restored.
Tips and notes
- The Activate License button stays disabled until you have typed a complete key, so there is no way to submit a partial one by mistake.
- You do not need to type the dashes in your key — type the letters and numbers and the field inserts them.
- Use Refresh for on-demand re-validation, not constant polling. The automatic cycle keeps your status current the rest of the time.
- If a feature seems unavailable, check the Status badge first — a Suspended or Expired licence restricts the platform until it is renewed.
